Supplier

Any individual, group, or company that supplies goods, products, services, and sometimes information into a process or to another individual, group, or company.

In a six sigma program, internal departments in manufacturing or in a service organization are the customers, at the same time those same departments within the same company can also become the supplier. So departments may have to play both rolls.
